Psalm 23; Romans 8
We pray also that Your rod and staff will comfort the persecuted church as
they go through the valley of the shadow of death. We praise You that
nothing can separate them from the love of Christ, not even persecution,
peril or sword.
We praise You that nothing can separate them from the love of Christ even
as they are killed for His sake all the day long and are accounted as sheep
for the slaughter.
Psalm 37:1-2
May they not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the works of
iniquity. For the wicked shall soon be cut down like grass, and wither
as the green herb. But they that wait upon the Lord shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 37:6-9
We pray for the persecuted church. Use them as Your witness even to those
who hate both You and them. Bring forth their righteousness as the light and
their justice as the noonday.
Enable them to rest in You, O Lord, and not to be anxious because of those
who bring wicked schemes to pass. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those
who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 37:10-11
We pray today for the persecuted church. Encourage them and enable them to
persevere. We pray for the coming day when the wicked will be no more, the
day when we will look carefully for the place of the wicked,
but it shall be no more. May the meek inherit the earth and delight
themselves in the abundance of peace.
Psalm 37:12-15
Bless the persecuted church, O Lord, for the wicked plot against the just
and gnash at them with their teeth. Yet You laugh at the wicked, O Lord, for
You know that the day is coming when their sword shall enter their own heart
rt
and their bows shall be broken. Uphold Your people, O Lord, and protect them.

Psalm 79:11
Let the groans of the prisoners come before you, and according to your
great power, preserve those who, for your name's sake, are doomed to die.
Psalm 83:13,16,18
We pray for our fellow Christans who are being persecuted by evil powers. O
Lord, make Your enemies and ours like whirling dust, like chaff before the
wind.
Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O LORD, and that
they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High
over all the earth.
Psalm 129:5-6
We pray for our fellow Christans who are being persecuted by evil powers.
May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward! Let them be like
the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up.
Psalm 129:5-8
O Lord, we today pray for the persecuted church. Let all those who hate Zion
be put to shame and turned back. Let them be as the grass on the housetops,
which withers before it grows up. Neither let those who pass by them say,
"The blessing of the LORD be upon you."
Psalm 141:9-10
We pray for the persecuted church, O Lord. Keep Your people from the snares
which the wicked have laid for them, and from the traps of the workers of
iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while Your people escape
safely.
Isaiah 54:17
Let no weapon fashioned against your church succeed, and let every tongue
that rises against it in judgment be confuted.
Luke 6:22-23
We pray, O Lord, for the persecuted church. Be with Your people when men
hate them and exclude them and revile then and cast out their name as evil,
for the sake of the Son of Man.
Enable Your people to rejoice even during such trials because great is
their reward in heaven.
Luke 21:12-13
O Lord, we pray for the persecuted church, for there are places where the
wicked have laid hands on Your people and persecuted them, delivering them
up to prisons and bringing them before governing authorities for Your name's
sake.
O Lord, may their persecution turn out for them as an occasion for testimony,
and enable them to confess the good confession, even as Jesus did before
Pontius Pilate.
John 16:2
We remember our fellow Christians who live in societies where deluded
fanatics think they are offering You service when they kill those who are
actually Your own people.
Protect Your faithful and enable them to overcome hatred with Your love and
lies with Your truth.
John 17:14
O Lord, we pray for the persecuted church. O Lord, enble Your people to be
faithful to the word which Jesus has given them, the word which we find in
the completed Bible. We pray that You will also strengthen, protect and
bless Your people
when the world hates them because they are not of the world, even as Jesus
is not of the world. O Lord, enable Your people to overcome the world, even
when the world oppresses Your people
because they no longer think like the world nor live like the world nor
love like the world nor hope like the world.
Acts 5:40-42
O Lord, we pray for the persecuted church. We pray for all those whom You
have counted worthy to suffer shame for the name of Christ. Though the powers
of this world beat them and command that they should not speak
in the name of Jesus, may they not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as
the Christ.
Acts 14:22
Bless Your people as they through much tribulation enter the kingdom of
God.
Romans 8:35-37
O Lord, we pray for those who are presecuted for the name of Christ. We thank
You that neither tribulation nor distress nor persecution nor famine nor
nakedness nor peril nor sword shall be able to separate us from Your love
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We thank You that in all these things,
we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.

2 Corinthians 4:8-12
Lord, we pray for Your people who are suffering persecution for the sake of
Jesus. Even as they are delivered to death for Jesus' sake, may they
manifest the life of Jesus which is theirs through faith.
We thank You, O Lord, that though Your people are hard pressed on every side,
they are not crushed; that though Your people are perplexed, they do not
despair; that though Your people are persecuted, they are not forsaken;
that though Your people are struck down, they are not destroyed.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-3
We pray, O Lord, for the persecuted church. Bless their witness, O Lord,
that Your word may run swiftly and be glorified, and that they, Your servants,
may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men who do not believe the
gospel.
For not all have faith, O Lord, but You are faithful. Establish Your
servants, O Lord, and guard them from the evil one.
Hebrews 13:3; Psalm 18:16-17,19
We remember before You, O Lord, those who are in prison and those who are
mistreated for the testimony of Jesus. Send them help from on high and
rescue them from those who hate them, and bring them out into a broad place.
