Genesis 2:15
|
O Lord, even as you commanded Adam to tend and keep the garden, enable us
to tend and keep the garden of our hearts and lives. May we cultivate our
hearts and lives by taking full advantage of those means which You have
provided for us to confirm and strengthen our faith in Jesus, especially the
word, sacrament and prayer. May we guard our hearts and lives by rejecting
the evil thought, the wicked word and the sinful act.

Genesis 18:19
|
May we know You, O Lord, with the friendship of faith, so that we may lead
our families in keeping the way of the Lord, doing righteousness and
justice. Work faith in our hearts, O Lord, so that we will be saved, both we
and our households.

Exodus 20:12

O Lord, we live in an age of anarchy where people tend to disrespect and
disregard all authority. Enable us to preserve the honor and perform the duties
which belong to those whom You have put in authority over us:
parents, husbands, elders, civil authorites.

We sin, O Lord, more than we know. Who can discern all his errors? Cleanse
us, O Lord, from secret faults. Keep back Your servants also from presumptuous
sins; let them not have dominion over us. Then we shall be blameless,

and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, our
Strength and our Redeemer.

O Lord, strengthen our faith in Christ that we may increasingly

|
May Your kingdom come in our individual hearts and lives, O Lord. Teach us,
O Lord, the way of Your statutes, that we may keep it to the end. Give us
understanding, that we may keep Your law and observe it with our whole
heart.
Make us walk in the path of Your commandments, for we delight in it. Incline
our hearts to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away our
eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive in us Your way.

Teach us to love Your law, O Lord. Make it our meditation all the day. May
Your words become sweet to our taste, sweeter than honey to our mouth.
Through Your commandments, make us wiser than our enemies.

Restrain our feet from every evil way that we may keep Your word and not
depart from Your judgments. Give us understanding through Your precepts that
we may learn to hate every false way.

O Lord, may Your kingdom come into our lives as individuals. Write Your law
upon our hearts such that we love Your commandments more than gold, yes,
than fine gold.
May we increasingly come to consider all Your precepts concerning all

selfish desires in life and take up the crosses which You have sovereignly sent
us. May we follow the example of faithful obedience and submission to Your

through selfish pursuits and thus lose our lives. May we instead, O Lord,
lose our lives in Your faithful service and thus find them.

Jesus rode into Jerusalem in His Triumphal Entry was of service to Him.
Jesus used that untrained and immature colt in the work of Your kingdom.

them."

Work in us today through Your Holy Spirit and Your inspired word to

which cannot be shaken. Let us have grace, O God, by which we may serve
