|
Now, O heavenly Father, as we prepare to worship You on this Lord's Day
assembled as Your people, send Your Holy Spirit upon us. Come, O Holy Spirit,
as divine breath and quicken us.
Come, O Holy Spirit, as water from above and cleanse us. Come, O Holy
Spirit, as fire from heaven and purge us. Come, O Holy Spirit, as wind beyond
our control and empower us.
Come, O Holy Spirit, as heavenly light and enlighten us. Convict, convert
and consecrate us so that we may here worship You in spirit and in truth and
so that we may leave this place to serve Him whose service is perfect
freedom.

Now, O Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us in fullness, strengthen and
confirm our faith in Christ, draw us to Yourself and enable us to walk with
You this morning in the close communion of worship.

Exodus 19; Gen 3; Acts 1; John 4
|
O Lord, we have assembled before You today to hear Your Word even as Israel
assembled before You at Mt. Sinai.
We desire to fellowship with You even as Adam in his innocence walked with
You in the garden in the cool of the day.
We are anticipating Your presence through the outpouring of Your Holy
Spirit, even as did the one hundred twenty who met to pray in the upper room
in Jerusalem.
Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us today in abundance until we are filled
with Your Spirit so that we may be able by Your grace to worship You today
in spirit and in truth.
|

We thank You for forgiveness, but we also ask for spiritual renewal and
revival. O Lord, look down from heaven, and see from Your habitation,
holy and glorious.
Rend the heavens, O Lord, and come down among us today in power through Your
outpoured Holy Spirit that the very mountains might shake at Your presense.

Luke 24:13-31
|
O heavenly Father, as we prepare for worship today, we think of the two
disciples on the road to Emmaus on the Sunday of Jesus' resurrection. O
Lord, even as Jesus walked with them, may He today come to us and be with us.
O Lord, even as Jesus expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things
concerning Himself, may He speak to us today through the preaching of His
word. O Lord, even as Jesus sat at table with them, took bread, blessed and
broke it, and
gave it to them, may He today dine with us and we with Him. O Lord, even as
their eyes were then opened such that they knew Jesus, may we today as we
break bread see Him more clearly with the eyes of faith and know Him more
dearly
in the bonds of love.
|
|

O Lord, now that You have set us free from sin, we are Your slaves, O Lord.
Enable us to present our bodily members to You, O God, as slaves of
righteousness unto holiness.
May our lips sing Your praises. May we work with our hands what is good.
May our feet walk in paths of rightousness for Your name's sake. For Your
worship and service is our truest freedom.

that we may this morning obey Your command, "He who glories, let Him glory
in the Lord."
|
|

Yours.
Fill us with Your Spirit, O Lord, and strengthen our faith in Christ that
we might in this hour of worship sing forth with our lips Your praise from
the depths of our grateful hearts.

O Lord, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, through the faith which He works

gives them eternal life, and they shall never perish.
