Now, O heavenly Father, as we prepare to worship You on this Lord's Day assembled as Your people, send Your Holy Spirit upon us. Come, O Holy Spirit, as divine breath and quicken us. Come, O Holy Spirit, as water from above and cleanse us. Come, O Holy Spirit, as fire from heaven and purge us. Come, O Holy Spirit, as wind beyond our control and empower us. Come, O Holy Spirit, as heavenly light and enlighten us. Convict, convert and consecrate us so that we may here worship You in spirit and in truth and so that we may leave this place to serve Him whose service is perfect freedom.
Now, O Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us in fullness, strengthen and confirm our faith in Christ, draw us to Yourself and enable us to walk with You this morning in the close communion of worship.
Genesis 2:7; Ezekiel 37 Also, O Lord, even as You breathed into our forefather Adam's nostrils the breath of life, even so breath upon us today Your Holy Spirit that we might have spiritual life and that we might worship You today in spirit and in truth.
Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; 1 Timothy 2:14 Heavenly Father, we confess that our first parents sinned against You and fell from the happy estate in which they were created into an estate of sin and misery. We praise You, O Lord, that even though Eve, the mother of all living, was the one whom the tempter deceived when sin entered the world, yet You saved us through the Seed of Woman. For a virgin conceived and brought forth a Son, whose name is called Immanuel, which means, "God with Us." Be with us today, O Lord, in our worship through the person and work of Jesus and through the outpouring of His Holy Spirit.
Genesis 28:16-17 O Lord, be with us today with Your special covenantal presense as we seek to worship You. May we today be like Jacob at Bethel when he awoke and said, "Surely the Lord is in the place, and I did not know it." Fill us with Your fear that we may cry out together with Jacob, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!"
Exodus 3:5 O Lord, we pray for Your blessing upon our worship service today. Come down to us, O Lord, in Your special and personal covenantal presence, and meet with us, even as You met with Moses at the burning bush on Mount Horeb, the mountain of God. While we worship You today, transform this common place into holy ground by Your special presence among us as the Great I AM, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Exodus 19; Gen 3; Acts 1; John 4 O Lord, we have assembled before You today to hear Your Word even as Israel assembled before You at Mt. Sinai. We desire to fellowship with You even as Adam in his innocence walked with You in the garden in the cool of the day. We are anticipating Your presence through the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, even as did the one hundred twenty who met to pray in the upper room in Jerusalem. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us today in abundance until we are filled with Your Spirit so that we may be able by Your grace to worship You today in spirit and in truth.
Exodus 19:3-6 Now, O Lord, bear us on eagles' wings and bring us to Yourself. Enable us to obey Your voice and to keep Your covenant that we may be a special treasure to You above all people; for all the earth is Yours. And that we may be to You a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.
1 Kings 8:57 Now, O Lord, be with us in our worship service this morning. Do not leave us nor forsake us. Incline our hearts to Yourself, to walk in all Your ways, and to keep Your commandments and Your statutes and Your judgments.
2 Chronicles 6:18 Now, O Lord, though heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You, we pray that You will come among us and dwell within us as Your temple on the earth as we assemble today in order to worship You in spirit and in truth.
Psalm 1:3 Now, O Lord, the season of worship is upon us. Enable us to bear the fruit of sincere praise, earnest adoration and heartfelt devotion. Use our time of worship to strengthen and confirm our faith in Christ that our leaf might never wither and that we might prosper in all that we do.
Psalm 10:17-18; Zechariah 12:10 Now, O Lord, as we prepare to worship You today, pour out upon us the Spirit of grace and supplication. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit, work in our hearts the grace of humility that we may bring before You our prayers and praise, our worship and supplications, in a way that pleases You. Prepare our hearts, O Lord, and cause Your ear to hear.
Psalm 37:11,24 Now, O Lord, be with us as we assemble before Your presence for worship, and enable us to delight ourselves in the abundance of peace which we find in You. For though we fall, we shall not be utterly cast down, for You uphold us with Your hand.
Psalm 51:10,12 Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation, and uphold us by Your generous Spirit. Strengthen our faith even now and enable us today to worship You in spirit and in truth.

Psalm 51:11-12,15 Do not cast us away from Your presence, O Lord, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of the salvation which You have given to us, and uphold us by Your generous Spirit. O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall show forth Your praise as we worship You this Lord's Day.
Psalm 80:18-19 Revive us. O Lord, and we will call upon Your name. Restore us, O Lord of hosts; cause Your face to shine upon us, and we shall be saved that we may worship and praise Your name.
Psalm 85:6-9 Now, O Lord, as we are assembled together to worship You this Lord's Day, revive us again, that we Your people may rejoice in You. Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation. We will hear what God the Lord says, for You speak peace to Your people and to Your saints, but do not let us turn back to the folly of our sins. For surely Your salvation is near to us who fear You, that glory may dwell in our midst.
Psalm 107:28-31 Now, O Lord, bless our time of worship. Calm our storm, so that its waves are still. Bring us out of our distresses as we cry unto You in our trouble. Guide us to our desired haven as the quiet waves make us glad. Enable us today to give You thanks, O LORD, for Your goodness, and for Your wonderful works to us.
Isaiah 29:13; Hebrews 10:22 May we not, O Lord, be as those who draw near to You with their mouths and honor You with their lips but remove their hearts far from You. May we today in our worship draw near to You in the full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Isaiah 61:10 As we now seek to worship You, O Lord, in the assembly of Your people, enable us to greatly rejoice in You, the LORD, and may our souls be joyful in You, our God.
Isaiah 63:15-64:1 We thank You for forgiveness, but we also ask for spiritual renewal and revival. O Lord, look down from heaven, and see from Your habitation, holy and glorious. Rend the heavens, O Lord, and come down among us today in power through Your outpoured Holy Spirit that the very mountains might shake at Your presence. e. For You, O Lord, are our Father; our Redeemer from Everlasting is Your name. .
Jeremiah 30:20-21 Enable us now to draw near to You and permit us now to approach You in worship. Establish our congregation before You in strength, and fulfill the promise of Your covenant with us that we shall we Your people and You will be our God.
Jeremiah 33:6,10-11 Now, O Lord, bless our worship service. Bring to our assembly health and healing; heal our souls and reveal to us the abundance of peace and truth. May we hear today the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, even the voice of those who say, "Praise the LORD of hosts, for the LORD is good, for His mercy endures forever."
Lamentations 5:21 Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored; renew our days, O Lord, and bless our time of worship today.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 O Lord, give us a new heart and put a new spirit within us. Take the heart of stone out of our flesh and give us a heart of flesh. Put Your Spirit within us and cause us to walk in Your statutes that we may keep Your judgments and do them. And enable us to worship You today in spirit and in truth
Ezekiel 37:10 Now, O Lord, blow upon us the breath of Your Holy Spirit and raise us up as Your living army. Enable us now to worship You in spirit and in truth.
Zechariah 2:5 Now, O Lord, we pray that You will bless our worship service today. Be a wall of fire around us, and be the glory in our midst, as we seek to worship You in spirit and in truth.
Matthew 2:9 O Lord, even as You sent the star before the wise men to lead them to the Christ Child that they might worship Him, send Your Holy Spirit to us today to lead us to Christ and to enable us to worship Him this morning.
Luke 1:15 Now, O Lord, fill us with Your Holy Spirit, even as You filled John the Baptist with the Holy Spirit when he was an unborn child. Fill us, O Lord, with Your Holy Spirit and enable us today to worship You in spirit and in truth.
Luke 1:34-35 And now, O Lord, even as You sent Your Holy Spirit upon the Virgin Mary to effect the miraculous conception of Jesus, so send Your Holy Spirit upon us today to work with both Word and Sacrament to strengthen and confirm our faith in Jesus and thus increase our communion with Him and His saving power.
Luke 15:23 Now, O Lord, may we today in our worship feast as upon a fatted calf and be merry with Your joy in our hearts. Enable us today to worship You in spirit and in truth, and our souls shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and our mouths shall praise You with joyful lips.
Luke 24:13-31 O heavenly Father, as we prepare for worship today, we think of the two disciples on the road to Emmaus on the Sunday of Jesus' resurrection. O Lord, even as Jesus walked with them, may He today come to us and be with us. O Lord, even as Jesus expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself, may He speak to us today through the preaching of His word. O Lord, even as Jesus sat at table with them, took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them, may He today dine with us and we with Him. O Lord, even as their eyes were then opened such that they knew Jesus, may we today as we break bread see Him more clearly with the eyes of faith and know Him more dearly in the bonds of love.
John 6:35,56 Now bless our worship this Lord's Day, O Lord. Strengthen our faith in Jesus, that He may abide in us, and we in Him. For He is the bread of life, and he who comes to Him shall never hunger, and he who believes in Him shall never thirst.
Acts 3:19-21 Blot out our sins, O Lord, so that times of spiritual refreshing may come upon us from Your presence in this glorious age of Messianic fullness, which You spoke about by the mouths of all Your holy prophets since the world began, an age which will end with Your again sending to earth Jesus Christ, whom heaven must receive until the restoration of all things.
Romans 6:18-19 O Lord, now that You have set us free from sin, we are Your slaves, O Lord. Enable us to present our bodily members to You, O God, as slaves of righteousness unto holiness. May our lips sing Your praises. May we work with our hands what is good. May our feet walk in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. For Your worship and service is our truest freedom.
Romans 8:5-6 Now, O Lord, enable us to set our minds not on the things of the flesh but on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Enable us at this time, O Lord, to worship You in spirit and in truth.
Romans 12:2 May we no longer be conformed to this world, O Lord. Transform us, O Lord, by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove, even as we worship You today, what is Your good and acceptable and perfect will.
Romans 15:5-6 O God, grant us this morning that we may be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that we may with one mind and one mouth glorify You, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:13 Now, O Lord, bless our worship service this Lord's Day. As the God of hope, fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 1:18,20,31 Deliver us, O Lord, from the foolishness of worldly wisdom. Work faith in our hearts and call us to Yourself that we may this morning know Christ as wisdom from You, that we may this morning know Christ as power from You, that we may this morning obey Your command, "He who glories, let Him glory in the Lord."
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 O Lord, we are no longer our own; we were bought at a price. Therefore, O Lord, we want to glorify You in our body and in our spirit, which are both Yours. Fill us with Your Spirit, O Lord, and strengthen our faith in Christ that we might in this hour of worship sing forth with our lips Your praise from the depths of our grateful hearts.
Galatians 4:6; 1 John 3:1 And now, O Lord, send forth the Spirit of Your Son into our hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father." Fill our hearts with gratitude that we have been born a second time and have been adopted into Your family. Enable us today to worship and adore You for the love You have bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God.
Ephesians 4:24 And now, O Lord, enable us to put on the new man and to worship You today in true righteousness and holiness, in accordance with our new creation in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 5:2 Now, O Lord, strengthen our faith in Christ and conform us to His image that we may walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Ephesians 5:18; Col 3:16; Psa 21:13 Now, O Lord, as we are assembled together here on the Lord's Day, the new covenant Sabbath, pour out Your Spirit upon us in abundance until we are filled with Your Spirit, let the word of Christ dwell richly in our hearts, and empower us to magnify Your name and to sing praises to Your power.
Ephesians 5:18-21 Now, O Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon us abundantly today as we assemble to worship You on the Lord's Day. Fill us, O Lord, with Your Spirit until our cup runs over and our heart overflows as we speak to one another in psalms s and hymns and spiritual songs, as we sing and make melody in our hearts to You, the Lord our God, as we give thanks always for all things to You, our God and Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, as we submit to one another in Your fear.
Ephesians 5:26 Sanctify us, O Lord, and cleanse us with the washing of water by Your gospel word, that we may today worship You in spirit and in truth.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 Now, O Lord, through the teaching of Your inspired Word in the power of Your Holy Spirit, work in us today: teach us Your doctrine; reprove our errors; correct our wayward ways; and train us in righteous living, that we Your people may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. k.
Hebrews 7:25 Now, O Lord, be with us as we are assembled to worship You this Lord's Day. We come to You in worship through Jesus Christ, for He is able to save us to the uttermost, since He always lives to make intercession for us.

Hebrews 12:22-24 O Lord, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, through the faith which He works in our hearts, enable us to come to Mount Zion, to Your city, the heavenly Jerusalem, that we may now worship You, the Judge of all, and Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and that we may do so together with the innumerable company of the angels and the church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven.
Hebrews 13:15 Now, O Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, that we may today offer the sacrifice of praise to You; that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to Your name.
James 4:8; Galatians 4:19 Now draw near to us that we may draw near to You. By our worship today, increase our faith in Christ and thus quicken and refresh our hearts and renew and increase our strength, so that Christ may be formed in us and so that we may be enabled better to serve You in our daily lives.
1 Peter 1:8-9 Now, O Lord, bless our worship service, as we exalt our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom having not seen we love. Strengthen and confirm our faith in Him, though now we do not see Him, that believing, we may rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of our faith - the salvation of our souls.
1 Peter 2:25, John 10 Have compassion upon us, O Lord. May we today with renewed faith return to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. May we today hear Jesus' voice with the ears of faith as He speaks to us through the Scriptures. May we today recognize His voice as the voice of our Good Shepherd. May we today hear Him, know Him and follow Him through the obedience of our sincere worship and willing service. For those who are truly His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and He gives them eternal life, and they shall never perish.
Revelation 5:9-10 And now, O Lord, enable us this morning to sing to Jesus a new song, saying, "You are worthy, for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth."
Revelation 5:14 Now, O Lord, unite us to the risen Christ through the mystical work of Your Holy Spirit that we may in faith may join with the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders in heaven as they worship the Lamb who was slain and yet who lives forever and ever.
